Shower Power Success!

One year ago, I visited Shower Power for the first time. I still remember the shock I felt when the young veteran I was talking to was not a volunteer--he was homeless. Homelessness is a major problem in Jackson, MS, and I decided that I wanted to help Shower Power in any way that I could. I collaborated with Madison Civinettes, MCHS Beta Club, MCHS SGA, Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler, Mayor's Youth Council, Rosa Scott Upstanders Club, First Baptist Madison, and Madison Chick-Fil-A to assist Shower Power with funds and donations. Overall, I was able to raise $1000 for Shower Power, and collect over 1000 donations from all across the city of Madison!
